Welcome and thank you for joining if this is your first time navigating the hub! The following guide will help with understanding the basics and provide a starting gameplan to get actively engaged.
First Steps
1 – Understand The Layout
You will notice two main menus at the top and at the left on the desktop and just one main menu on a mobile. You can access almost everything through these menus. The left menu on the desktop or the mobile will give you access to more specific tabs. You have different tabs for groups, courses, events, forums, and blogs. You will also notice quick link access points on both sides of many pages.
2 – Complete Your Profile
Look for the link on the side bars of the activity feed page or in the upper right corner on the header bar under your name. In your profile section, you can access your account, change your password or username, customize your profile, connect to other members, and invite others to the hub. You can also find further instructions and help if you need it.
3 – Connect To Members
Find others to connect to that share your interests or they just seem interesting. Remember the goal of this hub is to be a social network.
4 – Join Groups
The groups are where you will find the majority of content whether it’s courses, events, workshops, classes, or other media. All of the content is organized according to specific groups of interest, but you may also access everything from the top bar or the side bar if on a desktop or simply the main menu on a mobile under the respective tab.
5 – Join Forums
There are a number of forums to join with a wide range of topics. Feel free to browse them. Most groups will have their own respective forums and discussions, which you can also access from the main forums page. There are also specific discussion groups for starting up and getting help with issues concerning the hub.
6 – Watch Activity Feed
This Activity Feed is the starting point once you login which is similar to a Facebook newsfeed where you can post content and media as well as keep track of news and happenings. Often many groups will have their own activity feed as well. Some fun aspects in a post include emojis, conducting polls, and sharing on other social media.
